So , what's in this season ?!?
I would generally say that this Fashion year 2011 is the year of EVERYTHING !!
Carrying on some trends from last year and bringing it on this season too, still inspired by the 70s & 80s ,moving also with the 2000s fashion forward movement for expressionic,minimalistic movements we see with the straight lines carried on from the past few years ,the square syndrome that runs on the catwalk this season,and the usaul classics ofcourse ...
We have seen on Elie Saab's couture collection this season as always (a beautiful very feminine collection as we are used to from the house of Saab).
Could see the flairs , and the Floating fabrics that flows and the very definate and brilliant drapes .
In terms of Elie's Pastel color Pallette this season ,he used blue ,silver grey,nudes,corals,Orange .
As for the Hermes Collection ,we have seen leather leather and leather, a bit of suede ,leather strappy designs in blacks and browns ,and the so Hermes classics !
I learnt also since last seaoson that for this spring the pop style is still in with very bright definite colors -Red,Pink,Fuscia,Orange,Aqua marine blue ,and yellow and Green, as i have seen in the collections of many Fashion big names.
Back to the run way we also saw the Jean Paul Gaultier with a linear /Leather inspired collection, and Lanvin was all about Drapes .
Again the 1970s inspired collections of Paul&Joe using alot of patterns with a very spring floral feel and carried on from last seasons ruffles and frills ,Lovely mono colored Ochre peices that i really admired .
Christian Dior 's collection is very fresh /Springy print dominated ,Chiffon ruffles with the colors of the season. Absoloutly loved the red and white combination ...
While Kenzo being very tribal this season being so Kenzo and all inspired by the very oriental patterns as well as florals ,which take us to Stella Macrtney this seasons collection of Florals ,very simple ,very classic peices

from the house of Pedro Lourenco we saw minimal very straight lined and geometric cuts with zippers and leather inserts.
and Maison Martin Margiela 's collection showing us how to be a square !!
The master peices of Alexander Mcqueen& Victor&Rolf Couture were very impressive as always ,with luckily a few peices that could be worn that are not less mesmerising.
But as well all know ,Fashion trends are not for everyone as people are different but a fashionable style is for everyone ,there's always something out there for everyone ...its always great to mix the trends with your own style and personality and thats what fashion is all about : How to be you ?and how to be now? Try to find your balance :)
